Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, 'It will be happier.'
May green be the grass, you walk on.
May blue be the skies above you.
May pure be the joys that surround you.
May true be the hearts that love you.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.
May the joys of today
Be those of tomorrow.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true.
May you be poor in misfortunes,
and rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness,
from this day forward,
May good luck be your friend,
In whatever you do,
And may trouble be always,
A stranger to you.
May the grace of God's protection and His great love abide;
Within your home and within the hearts of all who dwell inside.
May you have...
a song in your heart
a smile on your lips
and nothing but joy
at your finger tips!
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the road rise gently to your pace!
May your troubles be less
and your blessings be more.
Nothing but happiness come
through your door!
May love and laughter light your days,
And warm your heart and home.
May good & faithful friends be yours,
Wherever you may roam.
Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast.
I made a Christmas wish for you,
For a holiday full of pleasure,
Friends and family all around,
And memories to treasure.
I wish for you a Christmas filled
With joyous holiday cheer;
I wish you a Merry Christmas,
And a very Happy New Year!
And may coming year be a little less stressful than this was (for this old biddy anyway).
I resolve to be pious and kind and gentle and - yippee, skippee - I already am! Happy New Year, everybody! -- Ned Flanders
As we say goodbye to this year, let us look forward with optimism to coming year. New Year is a time to put aside differences, a time for us to focus on family and friends and a time to look to the future.
With the spirit filled with gratitude, we prepare to cross the threshold, remembering that the Lord watches over us and takes care of us.
No one ever regarded the First of January with indifference. It is that from which all date their time, and count upon what is left. It is the nativity of our common Adam.
New Year's Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.
Let the New Year Day be a New Life Day.
